DEESIDE WILDLIFE
PHEASANTS
Pheasants are a common sight in the countryside. Especially so in areas where they are released for shooting. I have a few feeder hoppers around simply because I like to see them, especially in the spring, when they are in bright full plumage, and their crowing is repeated all day long.
They rarely breed successfully in the wild. Their eggs and young are easily predated mainly by all the crow family.
