ROE DEER

Roe Deer are extremely common in rural areas of mixed agricultural land and woodland.

At the fishery they are purely nocturnal visitors on a nightly basis, grazing the mown grass paths and wildflowers. Daily human movements keep them in the adjacent woodland during the day.

At home they are also nocturnal visitors on a nightly basis, often jumping fences into the garden quiet close to the house. By setting my trail camera I am amazed to see them browsing shrubs right under the bedroom window.
