Nearly 5 years after erecting my man-made nesting platform.
We have ospreys!
They have been in occupancy for around 12 days now.
They have been mating and bringing branches to the nest site every day, so augers well for successful nesting. Being only 300 yards from the fishery ponds, they should have an easy life with breakfast so close at hand. The female was leg-ringed as a chick in June 2010 near Tain, Easter Ross, Highlands. The male is not ringed therefore of indeterminate age To see the platforms as constructed and erected. click here
